A Second-Half Collapse Sees Derby Loss

Nancy highlights the fact his team can perform strongly for one half at a time. For instance, if not for wastefulness in front of goal they could have been greater than 1-0 up. “There were positives other than the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but I have also to be objective.

“The level we had at stages was of top quality. That happened. And I would not talk like that if it was different. That is the reason, regarding outcomes, I said we've seen this before. For that reason I believe we are nearly there to getting it right. Right now: small things.”

“I saw plenty of positives that we did, once more. The issue now comes down to consistency. My message would not be the same. That’s why I am a big believer we’re going to be able to turn things around.”

Opposition Reaction Response

Rangers manager played down talk of a championship push even after what felt like a statement victory. “One match at a time, so we can gradually build a challenge,” he said. “The confidence in the team is immense.”
